The all new Golf Mk6 is as test vehicle discuised and makes his turns somewhere in Davos for wintertest. The release is sceduled for March 2008. The Mk6 will be built on the Golf V plattform, that means all the base elements will be carried over to the new model.
The engines will start from 85 to 280HP with a new 1.4 TSI engine with Turbo and supercharger as we know from the Mk5 but with less horsepower (150HP). Volkswagen will change as well the strategie for the Diesel technology. New they going to use Common-Rail-technology and not the Pump-valve system as before. The range will be from 100 to 210HP for the new common-rail-diesel engines. Top of the range will be the all-new R36 with a 3.6 litre FSI V6 engine and 280HP.
